Siberian weather mark 2 returns, but not quite so bad....(hopefully)

The view from the house this morning, the snow's back!!

Yesterday Barrie and I did a Pentlands ride and came across frozen snow/ice here and there where the snow of 2 weeks ago had been drifting.

Particularly bleak at this part of the ride, very reminiscent of a photo I took about exactly 4 years ago at the same spot!

Like a couple of mafia hit men, but it was necessary as the wind chill was about -10C

On a brighter note, the GoPro is really good for remote photos of bird life!

We thought winter was nearly over but it came back with a vengeance on Friday and snowed quite heavily on Saturday night. The small birds are having a hard time this winter but nearly everyone I know is feeding them in their gardens and it's a treat to watch the different varieties that come to the feeders. Warmer weather forecast for this week......I'll believe that too!!!

Boredom, there's only so much snow you can shovel.....

Resorted to a track round the garden to relieve the boredom

A welcome break when the roads cleared to the World famous Anstruther Chip Shop, snow is more or less unheard of in the East Neuk of Fife

Tried a bit in the snow on Wednesday as it was starting to melt  but it was like biking through thick treacle, came back after 3 miles more knackered than a Pentland Hills 30 miler in normal conditions!

It's Friday and the sun's come back from wherever its been hiding and the snow's actually disappearing, who knows, maybe there'll be some biking next week...

The Beast from the East halts play.....

The view from the bike shed/garage means biking isn’t an option at the moment.

This inclement weather didn’t stop Clive and me from replacing a broken hanger on his go to work bike with a bit of bodging thrown in for good measure, fingers crossed!
