I’ll be glad when this rain dries up

Its hard going in conditions like this just now thats when the e-assistance comes to the fore!

!uckily its not too deep to pedal through though it would be more pleasant if it were to stop raining!

This must be the wettest time of the year in Scotland

Caught in a rare shaft of sunshine, displaying my wet muddy clothes to full advantage today!

Even though the sun wasnt shining the wet track was clear to see

Low cloud and light rain makes for not much fun in the hills!

It had begun to clear a bit by the time I reached here but waterproofs were still essential!

The stepping stones were far enough for the ride thi morning, I didnt fancy cycling through the water crossing on my ebike as it looked a bit on the deepish side!

I’d rather feed these dogs for a week than a fortnight!

I beleive they called them French Bull Mastiffs and boy were they built like bulls! But they seemed fairly gentle giants though I didn't try to antagonise them to find out....

Its still pretty wet and muddy on the track over to the hills and waterproofs are the order of the day!

Flying the Red Flag in the hills today!

Actually it warns of a nearby firing range not of the boundary with the Soviet Union!

Animals (or birds) round every corner today……..

First up was sheep who were reluctant to make way for me!

Then of all things a bird (of the webbed feet variety) which was even more stubborn about moving aside!

Finally two ponies with riders who did go to one side! The weather today was sunny and bright compared to yesterdays heavy rain but its not looking too good till the weekend...... ah well thats Scotland for you...plenty variety!

The weather on Sunday was excellent (apart from the wind higher in the hills)

Last nights ride was short and quick due to the weather!

This will probably remain like this till next spring dries things up!

At least water cant lie on the steep track down by the shelterbelt! The weathers not looking too good for biking this weekend either!
