Almost felt like Spring this morning up in the Pentlands

Hows this for the end of December?

Even the water crossing held no fears today!

Ordinary bikes stand aside for the ebikes....

Felt colder than the thermometer said it was today!

Dressed for -20C but it was only -2C thats what happens in Scotland,its a cold, damp, penetrating coldness! Anyway it felt a lot colder today than what the temperature reading was showing!

One way to keep warm, lifting an ebike over an awkward fence, that helps warm you up!

The first big trip with the ice spikers this winter (and very little ice!)

Up Maidens Cleugh but only the occasional sight of ice!

The lack of ice made no difference to the water crossing, just as wet as ever!

One minute misty and damp next minute clear and dry!

I'm nearly at the summit of Allermuir having pedaled up through the mist

At the summit now posing with Clive and it seems a lot clearer!

Over 2000 feet of climbing today which wasn't bad considering the miserable conditions!

Back out with Baz and Clive up the Pentland Hills

We met up with another ebiker and did most of the winter loop with him, sharing ebike stories all the way!

The tunnel coming back through Roslin, it wasn't so muddy that way today!

When will this miserable weather improve?

This is the current headgear get up at the moment, a touch of snow and frost wouldn't go amiss!

Too miserable weather for the mtb today again!

The snow was too wet for biking today so a walk to the cafe with the Mrs K was the order of the day (and very good it was too!)
