That wind today was straight from the Artic Circle…….

The best view in the Pentland Hills but we didnt hang around too long today it was too cold!

This is a tricky little rocky gully descent which was nice and dry today unlike what its usually like!

Clive had a spectacular otb here but had got bback on his feet by the time I got the camera switched on, which was a shame as it was a beauty!!

Not an mtb post but walk to the home of Dolly the sheep at Roslin!

A latte with the wife at the Roslin Inn and the weather obliged by allowing us to enjoy it outdoors!

A bit disappointed with the bike trip to bluebell wood tonight!

The bluebells are usually really alive and kicking at this time of the year but its been a cold, wet and windy May this year and it seems to have affected the bluebells which are not got as good a show as they usually have

This is quite common on the tracks just now and coming home with mud splattered riding clothes is not a rareity, you have to be careful "her indoors" doesnt catch you sitting down wearing a pair of dirty shorts on a clean seat!

A drry stretch of track to finish off with....there are some bits!!

4 ebikes out together doing a Pentland loop!

The three other ebikes lead the way on the trip to Penicuik and then alongside the river Esk before we reach the track up into the Pentland Hills

Up through the village of Silverburn and then into the hills

You meet just about every form of transport in the hills!

Back out for a shortie after the anti covid 19 jag

Held up by horses! But not forlong, they trotted off down a narrow steep track!

Not been over this bridge for quite some time!

A trip into Edinburgh with our visitors today

The wheel’s back on the bike but the rider isn’t!!

I've got the front wheel back on the bike with new bearings fitted but with visitors with us for a few more days it would be bad manners to go out for a ride at the moment so Tuesday night looks likely to be the first chance of a short ride!

Went for a walk down by the pond where I often cycle and what should be ther but two swans with their day old chicks! And what little beauties they are! I'll be keeping a check on them to see how they do in this big bad cruel world!

No bikes featuring here today!

There's no photos of bikes on here today as the front wheel is with a mechanic getting the bearings replaced so heres a couple of pictures of two blackbirds who come to my back garden to be fed cuurrants and other titbits!

This is "Blackie" coming in to land for his favourite feed, currants!

And this is "Scabby" so called because of his missing breast feathers, probably lost in a fight over some of the food I put out for them!

A nice ‘n’ easy solo ride tonight, sometimes you gotta take it easy!
