At least something's been in our favour during lockdown in that the weather has been dry and the sun has even come out which was something that never happened much over the previous 3 months. The new motor is running like a dream (touch wood) and yesterday I decided on a trip up Allermuir via Boghall Farm which I haven't done in over a year. Needless to say I went off the correct track and ended up pushing up a very steep section of rough grass.....thank goodness for walk assist!
Capelaw has been visited a few times, each time by a different route and I've yet to discover what the 2 steel channels represent, maybe one day.
The bridge over the Esk on the track from Penicuik along to Penicuik House, another mystery as it really leads to nowhere!
The restrictions look like going on for a week or two yet but if the weather holds it's actually not too bad....as long as you have a bike!
